Requirements. What needs to be done on remote PC?

If you want to scan one or more network PCs you will need to make sure that following settings are set on remote PC. Depending on which operating system remote PC has please check the following:


For Windows Vista, Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 / 11, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012:

• "Network discovery" and "File and printer sharing" should be turned ON
• Firewall "File and printer sharing" should be ON
• Disable "UAC" remote restrictions
• Sharing and security model for local accounts is set to "Classic"

For Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows 2003 Server:

• Firewall "File and printer sharing" should be ON
• Sharing and security model for local accounts is set to "Classic"
